New Prayer Requests
· From Bruce & Cinda McKellips: “It is with great sadness that we leave our Ecuadorian brothers and sisters as well as our missionary family. God has been so good to us. What a privilege and a joy it has been to serve the Lord in this beautiful country for the past 13 years. The last couple of months have been a whirlwind of goodbyes on the various districts and in many churches. The people have beautifully expressed their love and appreciation for us. While it has been heart-wrenching, it has also been wonderful to see some of the fruits of our labors and see how God has blessed the church in Ecuador. We truly appreciate your prayers and support over the years. Please continue to uplift us in prayer. We will be traveling on “home assignment” for the next several months and then settle in Arizona in December. In January, Bruce will begin his position as associate pastor with his dad at the Sun City Church of the Nazarene. You can contact us by e-mail at bruceandcindamck@gmail.com.”

Announcement
While most of you are aware of the following news, we want to make it official. Bruce & Cinda McKellips will leave for Home Assignment on September 1. At the conclusion of that time they will go on staff with Bruce’s father at the Sun City Church of the Nazarene in Arizona. They will be greatly missed after investing 13 years in Ecuador. Their contribution to the building of God’s Kingdom has been very significant.

On December 1, we will welcome Jon and Shirley Fischer as Work & Witness Coordinators in Ecuador. They have served around 10 years in Venezuela as NIVS and later as global missionaries. They will be missed in Venezuela where they have made an impact.
We request prayer for both families during this time of transition and also for the national church in each country.

Praises
· We are thankful for another successful Alerta Juvenil (Youth Alert) held last weekend. We had record attendance and wonderful times at the altar. On Saturday the youth participated in street evangelism or service projects, and we heard many testimonies of how God used this time to speak to their hearts about His calling on their lives.

· Update from NAF Partners Joe & Virginia Roberts: “Thank you for your prayers this week—we could really feel them. On Tuesday we arrived at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. We were shocked when we saw Tammy because she had lost so much weight, her balance was off, her vision was blurry and she was very weak. She was assigned a primary doctor plus she saw 7 or 8 specialists and had a lot of blood tests, sonograms and cat scans. We had a full day every day. By Friday we went back to the internist. She had gained 4 pounds and was so much perkier. The doctor found no cancer or lack of her body receiving nutrients. He gave her a body strengthening regimen to increase her strength. We thank God that there was no disease in her body, and we pray that the strengthening regimen will work. Thanks again for your love, prayers and concern.”

· Three churches have taken the challenge to help us with the Cali construction project—Texarkana, AR, Cathedral Heights; Flint Central, MI; and Garden City, KS. They will work together from September 29 to October 11. Let’s life them up in prayer as they prepare to go and as they work on this important project.

· We’re thankful for a successful Church Plant Conference (NCS) held last weekend in Ecuador which was attended by 140 outside participants and our student body. The material provided by our speaker, Rev. José Cardona, was well received. Many people left with much excitement and were committed to plant a church within the next couple of years.

· We praise God for his physical and financial protection of the Paso Ancho Church in Cali, Colombia, when a portion of their ceiling fell. · NAF Partners Joe & Virginia Roberts sent in this request: “Our daughter, Tammy, has been losing weight for an unknown reason for several months. She has lost well over 100 pounds.
