Praises and Prayer Requests for 12/08/06

Praises:
· We praise God for the Jesus Film. Check out our mission blog for recent testimonies of people who have found God through this ministry: www.andeanadventure.blogspot.com

Prayer Requests:
· Please pray for Jennifer Baker, Mission Corps volunteer serving in Quito. She had a severe attack of not being able to breathe. The doctors believe it to be a viral infection. She is on antibiotics and bed rest.

Continued Prayer Requests:
· Update on Diane Wright: During surgery, a long plate was installed in her leg with at least 13 screws to hold everything in place. She is in a rigid splint and cannot bear any weight for at least 2 months, and she probably won’t go back to work for at least 3 months. She is in a care facility undergoing extensive physical therapy. Before she can go home, she must be able to get in and out of a bed, recliner and wheel chair. Her pain level has substantially reduced, making it easier for her to move. The therapists are pleased with her progress.

· Marion Rich, Dwight’s mother, that her strength will return after recent illness.

· Lucho Flores, one of our construction workers, as he recovers from a broken collarbone.

· Bruce McKellips as he continues to recover from rotator cuff surgery.

· Craig and Gail Zickefoose while they’re on home assignment.

· The leadership throughout Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela as they seek to do God’s will.

Praises and Prayer Requests for 12/02/06

That my heart may sing to you and not be silent,
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.
Psalm 30:12

Praises:
· We praise God for the 26 graduates that graduated from the Seminary in Friday night’s ceremony. 19 graduated with a bachillerato degree and 7 with a licenciatura degree. Many are traveling back to their cities and countries in the next few days. Please pray for these Nazarene leaders, their ministries and their safety.
· Thank you for your prayers for Marion Rich, Dwight’s mother. Although she is now home, she is still weak and would appreciate your continued prayers on her behalf.

Prayer Requests:
· Please pray for Diane Wright who fell and suffered a serious compound fracture of the femur just above her new knee. The surgeons indicate that the surgery will be a difficult procedure.Al & Diane have visited Ecuador on Work & Witness trips several times and were planning to come for the month of February 2007 as volunteers. They would also like to serve as Mission Corp volunteers upon retirement. Besides the obvious physical pain and recovery, they are discouraged that this accident may postpone their plans to work in Ecuador. Please pray for the upcoming surgery, complete recovery and encouragement as only God can give.

Continued Prayer Requests:
· Luis (Lucho) Flores, one of our construction workers, as he recovers from a broken collarbone.
· Bruce McKellips as he continues to recover from rotator cuff surgery.
· Craig and Gail Zickefoose while they’re on home assignment.
