· From Bruce and Cinda McKellips: “We are happy to announce the birth of our second grandson to Michael and Brooke. His name is Blake Phillip McKellips. He weighed 8lbs, 8oz, and was 19 ½ in long. He was born on Friday, Feb 16th at 12:50pm (Central time). He is very healthy. Both Brooke and Blake are doing great. Thank you for your prayers last Friday as everything went very well.”

· We celebrate with Dana and Sherry Howard as they meet the General Board to be commissioned as career missionaries in Kansas City, MO, this week. Please pray for God’s help and blessing as they are interviewed for this important step in their lives.

· We thank God for his presence at our National Youth Leadership Congress held last weekend and for the young leaders that attended.

· We praise the Lord for the W&W team of youth and adults from Maine District that recently came to Venezuela. They worked hard and had a desire to serve in all areas of ministry. We were blessed as they shared their stories of how the Lord has performed many miracles in their lives. May God bless them as they return to their homes and continue to work in their own mission fields.

· Marion Rich, Dwight’s mother, has recuperated so well that she was able to attend the M7 Conference in Kansas City this week.

New Prayer Requests
· Please keep Dwight Rich and Stan Hall in your prayers as they travel to Macas, Ecuador, this weekend (2/23 – 26) to attend a District Assembly and various meetings. Pray also for God’s direction during these meetings.

· Pray that God will send a couple to serve as assistants at the Venezuelan Campground. Pray that this couple will see it as a ministry and a way to serve the Lord and the Christians that stay at the campground.

· Gail Zickefoose recently polled local pastors in Venezuela. The survey revealed needs in the following areas:
o Renewal in the devotional life of the minister
o Develop and multiply leaders
o Balance ministry with family and marriage needs
o Economic security and personal finances
o Time management
o Live a holy life in today’s world
o Adapt ministry to the post modern world
o Balance evangelism with discipleship
Please pray for wisdom and direction as the Zickefooses work with these pastors to help them meet these needs.

Praises
· Thank you for your prayers on behalf of the leadership and pastor meetings in Venezuela. After two long pastors’ meetings and some intense discussions, we gathered for the District Assembly in the Andino District. God answered our prayers with a time of restoration led by the district NYI President. The pastors of the district gathered around and prayed for District Superintendent Rodolfo Camargo. Rodolfo and some members of the local church were involved in a car accident on their way to the Assembly. When Rodolfo got out of his car to inspect the damage and talk about a settlement with the driver of the other car, a third car ran over his foot. Praise the Lord, he had no injuries. The accident should have been a lot worse with the speed and size of the other car. We thank God for his protection for Rodolfo and the others that were in the car with him. Click on the "Home" link to see a picture of the prayer time.

· We praise God for the work achieved by our “surprise” Work & Witness team to Ecuador from Circleville, Ohio. Please pray for them as they travel home today.

· We received the following prayer request from Pastor Tim Mondy (Illinois District): “I have a 6-year-old nephew that was diagnosed with brain cancer on Nov. 3, 2006. He underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor on Nov. 4th, 2006. Since then he has undergone 6 weeks of chemo and radiation and on Feb.23rd he will have a second surgery to remove the tumor that remained on Nov. 4th. We are asking people around the world to pray for him and we have set up a website to let people stay in contact as this ordeal progresses. We are trying to get prayer coverage in all 50 states and as many countries around the world as possible . . . . Please stop by his website, sign his guestbook and let him know you are praying (www.caringbridge.org/visit/ryanmondy). Doctors stand amazed at Ryan's progress to this point and even they attribute it to the prayers of the people. We covet any and all prayers and it really lifts the family's spirits when they read the comments left in the guestbook.

· Update on Diane Wright: Diane is progressing very well. Her flex is now at 90 degrees but the additional degrees will be hard to achieve. She is allowed to have 25 to 50% of her weight on the foot and is practicing walking with a walker. The therapist is pleased that she is able to walk with the proper alignment. Diane will have another week at this level, and then she will go to full weight on the foot with more aggressive therapy. She is expected to be off work for about one more month. Thanks for your continued prayers. She feels the results often.
