4/2/10

Praise

·     Praise God for the wonderful news shared at all of the recent District Assemblies on the NAF.  One of the many highlights includes the four leadership conferences given in Cali and Medellin, Colombia, and in Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Dr. Stan Toler’s presentation was on “How to Recruit and Develop Leaders in the Local Church.”  Dr. Christian Sarmiento’s presentation was “Leadership that Conquers (Wins).” All of these sessions were very well attended.  You can find more details and photos at www.andeanadventure.blogspot.com.

Prayer Requests

·     Lift in prayer Dwight & Carolyn Rich as they are on Home Assignment in the U.S. from 4/5 – 6/4.  Pray that God will use them as they speak in churches and for traveling safety.

·     Please pray for the two Work & Witness teams that are working in Ecuador for the next couple of weeks.  Pray for work safety and for God’s presence to be real among the team members and those they are serving.

  • A team from Michigan has arrived and is working on the church in Palora, Ecuador.  Jon & Shirley Fischer are leading this group.  They will be here working until 4/10.

  • A team from Alberta, Canada, arrives tonight, and they will be working on a couple of churches here in Quito. Dana & Sherry Howard are leading this group.  They will be working here until 4/15.

·     Adam, the 2-month-old great-grandson of Al & Barbara Cummings, has two heart valves that aren’t working properly.  On April 9, Adam will have a balloon procedure to try to correct the problem. If that doesn’t work, further surgery will be needed.  The family is asking for prayer that God will heal the situation through this balloon procedure.  The Cummings are NAF partners and have served in both Ecuador and Colombia.
