Praises

· Dana and Sherry Howard are officially appointed as Global Missionaries! We celebrate with them and give thanks to God for this wonderful milestone in their life. Please continue to pray for their family during this time of Home Assignment.

· Thank you for your prayers for Dwight and Stan last weekend. Although they did have to take a nine-hour bus ride back to Quito (with three bus changes), they were safe and the meetings were productive. There was a great sense of community among the pastors. Another highlight was to attend a church made up of Shuar people, a tribe known to be the fiercest warriors in Ecuador. This was the first time a missionary has attended this church as it took an hour-long drive and a 40-minute walk to reach the church.

New Prayer Requests

· We covet your prayers for Iberoamerica 2007 being held as follows:
o Colombia 3/2-3
o Ecuador 3/9-11
o Venezuela 3/12-14
General Superintendent Dr. James Diehl, Regional Director Dr. Christian Sarmiento and Field Strategy Coordinator Dwight Rich will travel to and speak at all of these events. Each weekend will culminate with an Ordination Service. Please pray for the many people traveling to and from these events, for the leadership, and for the ordinands. Pray especially that God’s presence will prevail in all of these services.

· Our seminary students (from Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela) are returning to the Seminary this week as a new school year begins. Please pray that God will be glorified this year through our leadership and staff, teachers, students and everyone involved in the Seminary. Please pray especially for our Venezuelan students who are experiencing difficulty in obtaining a VISA.

· Please pray for the Baker City, Oregon, Work & Witness team that will be working in Riobamba, Ecuador, from 3/3 – 3/15.

· Pray for the expansion of our National Council as we seek God’s will for the Church in Venezuela. Pray also that we would experience unity—equal care for each person and ministry—even though there are different stages of development and not necessarily an equal allocation of resource among churches. The National Council meeting is 3/9-10.

Continued Prayer Requests

· Al Wright sent in this update for his wife, Diane: “Thank you so very much for including Diane on your prayer request list. She has improved to the point that she is within a couple weeks of returning to work. Her range of motion is now over 100 degrees; the doctors did not expect her to get to 90. Prayer does change things and His blessings never end!!!!! We look forward to seeing you all [in Ecuador] around the end of July to early August.”

· We need a couple to serve as assistants at the Venezuelan Campground.

· The leadership throughout Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela as they seek to do God’s will.
